Calgary, Alberta,Native Plant Producer, Eastern Slopes Rangeland Seeds Ltd have been reclamation consultants and contract growers of rangeland native plants and seeds since 1985. During that time ESRS has become a major player in reclamation management and the successful re-establishment of delicate plant communities.
About Us
Eastern Slopes Rangeland Seeds Ltd. (ESRS) is a family run company based near Calgary Alberta. Kathy and Clare Tannas have been providing rangeland environmental assessment and management services in Western Canada since 1980 and have been contract growers since 1985. Steven Tannas joined the business as a consultant and contract grower in 1997 and is presently also working on his PhD as a rangeland Agrologist.
Mission Statement
ESRS is a corporate entity that promotes the conservation and management of native plant communities in western Canada by providing expert management advice from our diverse experience, high quality environmental surveys and quality products for the environment.
Client Base
Our business is deigned to serve the reclamation industry, provincial and federal governments, the oil industry, mining industry, municipalities, golf courses, wholesale garden centres and anyone requiring environmental assessments or large scale native plant and seed production capabilities.
Environmental Consulting Services
Our very comprehensive environmental consulting services are designed to assess the condition of native plant communities and make recommendations on the most cost effective way to reclaim tracts of land that have been disturbed by industry or overgrazing. Contract Growers
We do far more than just suggest viable solutions. Since 1985 we have harvested and reproduced hundreds of rangeland native plants and seeds and reproduced them in our large greenhouse or 180 acres of production beds. Lists of some of the species we produce can be found using our drop down menu.
